Now its true that the .com extension is perhaps the most popular of extensions and the most widely used, however, .net is a close second and a viable option if your .com choice is already taken. Also, even though .org’s are used most commonly for governmental or educational sites it can also be used for businesses or personal sites.
A good domain name will direct the online user to exactly what your website is about. Not only will it be easy for them to understand, but also for Google to understand, who will rank your website higher due simply to a good domain name.
